Director of Music & Liturgy Opportunity
at St. Stephen Catholic Parish
We are seeking a full-time Music Director to begin work as soon as possible. Responsibilities will include: serious dedication to fill, vocal, congregational singing; a valued adult choir, cantor ministry; Sunday and Holy Day Liturgies; school liturgies, funerals and weddings.
Director will also be required to initiate children and youth choirs; resurrect a hand bell choir; and effectively include additional musical accompaniment, while being organist and pianist 3 weekend Liturgies. Proven experience, strong organ, piano, choral conducting skills, and a knowledge of Catholic liturgical music and principles, are all required. Other important skills and qualifications would be the ability to work with trained and untrained voices; enthusiasm and energy to inspire others to serve in the music ministry of the parish; and a dedication to parish music ministry.
